The story began when Marina Tran-Vu, a Vietnamese-Canadian businesswoman, was shocked by the extent of plastic pollution in her homeland during a visit to Vietnam in 2019. She wanted to take action to protect the country’s proud landmarks and create a better future for her newborn grandson. More importantly, she wanted to show the world that Vietnam could become a leading nation in sustainable development.

Therefore, she decided to leave her job at the company and embark on founding EQUO, a brand that symbolizes Marina’s passion for environmental protection, her admiration for the beauty of Vietnamese culture, and her long-held entrepreneurial spirit.
